Share The World’s Resources (STWR) teamed up with Cambridge University Amnesty International and the Cambridge Homeless Outreach Programme to outline the case for achieving the United Nation's longstanding vision of "better standards of life in larger freedom".
The presentation focuses on the reality of extreme poverty across the world, and the need for governments to uphold Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which proclaims the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living.
The talk also outlines the wider systemic implications of rendering basic socioeconomic rights for all people into an enforceable framework of international law. We further discuss the means by which we can achieve this formidable aim through a ‘people’s strategy for world transformation’, which is the essence of our campaigning work at STWR.
