#Taxjustice for #publicservices campaign takes off
From 19-23 June 2017, #TaxJustice for #PublicServices Global Week of Action events are rolling out around the world, from South Africa to Tunisia, Brazil to Perú, Vietnam to Bangladesh, and Spain to the Netherlands.
Activities include creative public actions, workshops, forums, social media and opinion editorial publications leading into World Public Services Day on 23 June. Please see the campaign web pages in English and Spanish and the toolkit resources for ideas on how to take action.
This is a campaign initiative of the Global Alliance for Tax Justice and our regional network members, Public Services International, ITUC-Africa, ActionAid, Oxfam, Global Campaign for Education and more partners. Join us in building public and political momentum globally to ensure our governments heed our common advocacy messages supporting our demands that governments:
- Use tax revenues to fund the public services and social protections that are the means to ending poverty and inequality.
- Make multinational corporations and the wealthy pay their share of taxes.
Strengthen the profile of our global movement by using the common campaign banner or ask the Global Alliance for Tax Justice to make a banner especially for you in a different language. Let them know what you are planning so they can support and promote your actions widely.
